152nd Annual Le Sueur Co. Fair runs through Sunday

The 152nd Annual Le Sueur County Fair runs Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 20-23, at the county fairgrounds in Le Center.
In addition to 4-H activities, displays and free events, there are a number of other activities at this year's Le Sueur County Fair.
According to Le Sueur County Fair Board Secretary Art Gorgen, there are a number of new events this year to go along with some of the very popular returning events.
Lazer tag will be held in the outfield area of the baseball field on Friday and Saturday. There will be a lawn mower pull in the grandstand before Sunday's demolition derby. A new carnival, Cody Rides, will be open at 1 p.m. the first three days of the fair and at noon on Sunday.
Grandstand shows include a traditional tractor and truck pull at 3 p.m. Saturday, the National Tractor Pullers Association tractor and truck pull at 7 p.m. Saturday, and demolition derbies at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
Free Entertainment
The fair includes a variety of free entertainment. Thursday events include a free sweet corn feed sponsored by the Fair Board, an Amateur Talent Contest at the Pavillion, and the band Rock Solid playing from 7 to 10 p.m.
On Friday, entertainment will be from Center Stage Dance Entertainment, and the band Lead Penny.
Saturday's events include the Kids Pedal Tractor Pull, Le Center Steppers Dance School and the Downtown Sound Variety Band.
Sunday features the 2009 Senior Citizens Program, which will name the Le Sueur County Outstanding Senior Citizens and recognize Century Farms at 1 p.m. Flutes Unlimited will provide free entertainment before the program, starting at 12:30 p.m.
