5th annual Henderson Tractor Ride is Saturday

As the Fifth Annual Henderson Tractor Ride travels through the Minnesota River Valley on Saturday, June 24, spectators are urged to set up lawn chairs along the route to watch the annual caravan of antique tractors. Old tractor collectors are urged to park their tractors along the route for the tractor drivers to enjoy.

Tractors will leave the Le Sueur County Pioneer Power Showgrounds at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, and travel north on Le Sueur County Road 33. Riders will turn east on County Road 28 and travel through St. Thomas about 9:30, continuing on County Road 28 until they turn left on County Road 31. The caravan will take 31 north to Union Hill at about 10:15. After a short break at Union Hill, the old tractors will head north on Scott County Road 7, coming into Belle Plaine via Orchard Drive at about 11:15 a.m. Meridian Street and Downtown are excellent spots to watch the parade.

The route will follow County Road 6 out of Belle Plaine through Blakeley and onto The Scenic Byway, into Sibley County, passing through Jessenland at about 12:30 p.m. Entering Henderson on North Sixth Street, the riders will travel to Main Street at about 1 p.m., and proudly parade through the Historic Henderson Business District, ending the ride at Bender Park.
