Absentee ballots available for Jan. 3 special election
Absentee ballots are available for the special election slated for Thursday, Jan. 3. If you are unable to be at your polling location on election day due to an absence from the precinct, illness, disability, religious discipline or observance of religious holiday, ballots can be obtained at the Scott County Elections Department.
An application is necessary to receive a ballot by mail. Call Scott County Elections staff, 952-496-8560, to request an application, or you can obtain one from the Scott County website, www.co.scott.mn.us.
Additional hours at the election department will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, and until 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2.
