Accident closes Highway 13

Montgomery resident Charlie Athey was on his way home from work in New Prague around 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, travelling behind an SUV pulling a camper on Highway 13 when the unthinkable happened. He first noticed the camper pulling onto the shoulder and thought it must be stopping. Then he saw the reason why. A maroon car was suddenly in his lane and headed straight for the vehicle in front of him.

It was like something I'd never seen before
