Adapted Floor Hockey team opens season
New Prague begins its third season of adapted floor hockey with basically the same players as last year, but a new coach.
Shelly Kriha, an assistant coach the last two seasons, takes over the program, while Lisa Josephson is the assistant coach.
Last year's squad went 3-8 on the season, and with the players a year older, they are hoping to improve on that record.
New Prague has just 10 players on this year's squad. They are led by Adam Jeurissen, Darius Sirek and Anna Busch, the team's leading scorers last year, and by defenders D.J. Gilder and Katie Busch. Courtney Giles will also be strong on offense, while Sam Bisek and Eric Johnson will help on both offense and defense.
Goaltender Marcus Schoenbauer returns for his second season in the nets.
