Albina Viskocil, 93

Albina Viskocil, 93, of Montgomery, died Sunday, May 23, 2010, at Central Health Care Center in Le Center.

She was born at her home near Trebon on January 17, 1917, a daughter of John and Albina (David) Budin. She attended country school and married Joseph W. Viskocil on October 17, 1938, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Albina was a member of the Kilkenny VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed quilting, cooking, flower gardening, baking pies and kolacky and playing euchre.

She is survived by five children Joan (Dennis) Johnson, New Prague, Jane (Robert) Cervenka, Waseca, Joyce (John R.) Bornholdt, Le Center, Judith (Dick) David, Montgomery and James (Marleen) Viskocil, Montgomery; daughter-in-law Pat Viskocil Tienter, Waterville; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Harriet Budin, Lonsdale; and brothers-in-law Emil (Mary) Viskocil, Farmington and Clarence (Helen) Viskocil, Eagan.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son Joseph; granddaughter Lori Marie Bornholdt; brothers Emil and John; and a sister Mayme.

Funeral services were held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery on Wednesday, May 26, at 10:30 a.m.

Burial was at the Trebon Cemetery in Shieldsville. Pallbearers were Albina's 17 grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery.
