Stephanie Melissa Rud, daughter of Terry and Mary Jo Rud of Lonsdale, and Derek Arden Almen, son of Carl and Gail Almen of Northfield, announce their engagement.

Stephanie graduated from Montgomery-Lonsdale High School in 2005, and Dakota County Technical College in 2008.

Derek graduated from Northfield High School in 2002.

The couple is planning a winter wedding on February 15, 2014, in Northfield.
