Anastasia Komarek, 99
Anastasia Ann Komarek, 99, of New Prague, died Monday, April 9, 2007, at Mala Strana Health Care Center in New Prague.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 12, at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague, with Rev. Kevin Clinton officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Honorary pallbearers will be Ann's grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague.
Born November 4, 1907, in Lanesburgh Township, Le Sueur County, Ann was a daughter of Albert and Anastasia (Chlan) Krenik. She attended country school and was a lifelong resident of the New Prague area. Ann married Paul John Komarek on September 22, 1932, in New Prague. She was a co-owner of Komarek Paint Shop in New Prague from 1946 to 1992.
She is survived by two children, P. John (Geraldine) Komarek, DVM and Mary (Jim) Kalina, both of Lonsdale; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on October 15, 1994; her parents; brothers, William E. Krenik, Albert A. Krenik and a brother in infancy; and one sister, Adeline Sevcik.
