Anna Wacker, 95

Anna V. Wacker, 95, of New Prague, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at Central Health Care Center in Le Center.

Born July 3, 1912, at Le Center, Anna was a daughter of Joseph and Emma (Moudry) Spaetgens. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Le Center. She married Tony Wacker on October 28, 1930, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Le Center. Anna was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, cooking, canning, gardening, card playing and quilting.

She is survived by sons Ron (Freda) Wacker, New Prague and John Wacker, New Prague; a sister Zoe Spaetgens, Le Center; 18 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son Anthony Wacker; daughter Rita Ann Meger; brother Joe Spaetgens; and a sister Mary Meyers.

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 17, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery, with Rev. David Barrett officiating. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.

Visitation was held Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
