Anne Osborne, 81
Anne Beatrice Osborne, 81, of Merriam Park, St. Paul died Monday, January 26, 2009, at home surrounded by family.
Born May 8, 1927, at New Prague, she was a daughter of John and Anna Mack. At age 15, her family moved to Minneapolis where she later met and married Robert J. Osborne. They lived in Arden Hills and New Brighton, but later settled in St. Paul's Merriam Park neighborhood and St. Mark's Parish where they raised their family. She had many interests, including dancing, drawing pencil sketches and listening to music. Gardening was one of her passions and she was never without vegetable and flower gardens. Anne dearly loved her family, her Catholic faith and everyone she met.
She is survived by her husband; children Kathleen Kitty (Glenn) Norstrem, Suzy (Jim) Kelley, Mary (Mike) Mishou, John (Jean) Osborne, Steve Osborne, Tim (Sandy) Osborne, Julie (Pat) Eastman, Paul (Jill) Osborne and Patrice (Mike) Palmer; 32 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and cousins Bea Bowman and John Hamer of New Prague;.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother John Mack; and son Daniel Osborne.
A celebration of her life and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of St. Mark in St. Paul on Thursday, January 29 at 10 a.m.
Visitation was held Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at O'Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home in St. Paul, and will continue one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
