Arnie and Ann Schoenbauer are named grand marshals for Dozinky

Arnie and Ann Schoenbauer will serve as the grand marshals for the 2004 Parade of Farm Pride during New Prague's annual Dozinky Festival, Saturday, Sept. 18.

The Schoenbauers are long-time residents of the New Prague area. They owned and ran the family farm, which they acquired from Arnie’s parents, and have since passed along to their son, Robb. While running the farm, Arnie expanded the crop operation to the point where the farm is over 500 acres today.

The Schoenbauers have always been active in the community. Both Arnie and Ann have served on numerous committees and councils at St. Wenceslaus Church, where Arnie currently serves as a trustee. He also served on the New Prague School Board for 12 years, was a director at the State Bank of New Prague for several years, and is one of the founders and owners of Community Security Bank, where he currently serves on the board of directors.

Ann recently retired after 15 years as a part-time chaplain at Queen of Peace Hospital. Both Arnie and Ann have also been active in the New Prague Golf Club. The Schoenbauers have four sons, each of whom has returned to New Prague and are active in the community. They also have a foster son who is a detective for the Richfield Police Department.

The Schoenbauers moved off the farm a few years ago, and now live near the New Prague Golf Course.

Arnie and Ann are an embodiment of the spirit of Dozinky
