Attempted robbery at Walgreens

A 20-year-old Webster man was arrested Saturday after an attempted robbery at the Walgreens Pharmacy in New Prague.

According to New Prague Police, the man came into the pharmacy shortly before 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, and allegedly threatened the use of explosives. He then fled the scene in a vehicle.

The victim/witness identified the suspect and New Prague Police, with assistance from the Scott and Rice County sheriff's offices and Lonsdale Police, arrested the man at a residence in rural Webster.
