Bartusek stepping down from council
At the close of the New Prague City Council's Monday, Aug. 3, meeting, Mark Bartusek announced he would be stepping down from the council effective immediately. He explained his family is closing on a house that is outside of the city limits and since a person has to live within the community he could no longer serve as a council member. Bartusek has served on the council for six and-a-half years. Mayor Chuck Nickolay said at the council's Monday, Aug. 17, meeting they will decide how to fill the remainder of Bartusek's term.
