Belle Plaine ends boys’ basketball season

In a hard fought game, the Belle Plaine Tigers ended the TCU Titans boys’ basketball season with a 63-73 score on Thursday, Feb. 25 in Belle Plaine.

Titan coach Ben Haugen praised the boys for competing hard the entire game that found the Tigers up by at least 10 points the majority of the contest.

Despite the hometown’s consistent lead, the Titans did not let it affect their effort.

“I was proud of our effort,” Haugen said. “Belle Plaine just executed better than we did. They had less turnovers and gave themselves more opportunities around the rim.”
