Benick resigns as NPHS football coach

New Prague High School football coach Jim Benick has resigned after five seasons as head of the Trojan program. 

Benick had a five-year record of 24-26, including a disappointing 1-8 season this year. 

Activities director Brad Skogerboe said a search for Benick’s replacement will begin soon, but might not be finalized until this spring when the district completes its staffing for the 2014-15 school year.
