Berneice Kasper, 74
Berneice S. Kasper, 74, of Montgomery, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at her home.
Berneice was born October 17, 1938, in Steele Co., a daughter of Harold and Carla (Hanson) Sable. She graduated from Owatonna High School. She married Charles Kasper on September 7, 1957, at Sacred Heart Church in Owatonna. Berneice worked at District One Hospital in Faribault and Seneca in Montgomery. She was a founding member of the Montgomery Ambulance Service and the Arts and Heritage Center. She was active in Book Club, Community Club, Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and various other community activities. She was proud of the comfort she provided others by the number of prayer shawls made for friends, family and people she never even knew. Berneice enjoyed reading, quilting, crocheting, knitting, sewing, camping and gardening.
She is survived by her husband; children Carla Marie Ellman (and Dale Gaul), Montgomery, Gregory (Deborah) Kasper, Belle Plaine, Charlotte DeMars, Faribault, and Douglas (Mary) Kasper, Belle Plaine; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brothers Ken, Harold, Richard and Raymond.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons Michael and Mark Kasper; and brothers Robert and David Sable.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 22, at 10 a.m., at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery, and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
