Bernice Hamele

 

Bernice M. Hamele, 87, of Faribault, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.
Bernice was born on May 13, 1925, in Morristown, a daughter of Charles and Meta (Hagel) Zimmerman. She married Francis Pemrick on January 24, 1951, and he preceded her in death on August 19, 1974. She later married Francis Hamele on October 23, 1976. She was formerly employed by the State Academies for the Blind and Deaf and later at the Faribo Woolen Mill Co. for 28 years. Bernice's favorite pastime was painting her Old World Santas.
She is survived by her husband; a son Duane (Helen) Pemrick, Faribault; stepdaughter Gail Cloutier, Alexandria; two grandsons David and Shane (Dana) Pemrick; step-grandson Chad Cloutier; two great-grandchildren Amelia and Grady Pemrick; sister-in-law Laura Zimmerman, Morristown; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; a son David Pemrick; five siblings Irene (Walter) Zitzmann, Odessa (Leonard) Schlossin, Melvin Zimmerman, and two sisters in infancy Rosella and Regina Zimmerman.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Faribault on Thursday, Dec. 6, at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Dr. Armand J. Boehme officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Faribault.
Visitation was held at the Boldt Funeral Home in Faribault on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m., and also at the church for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
