A daughter, Vivian Lucille, was born to Nathan and Barbara (Poppler) Minzel, Carver, on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague. She weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 19 inches long.

Grandparents are Harlan and Dolores Poppler and Mark and Linda Minzel. The baby's great-grandparents are Suverna Hennen and Gordon Minzel.

Ava Marie Farrell

A daughter, Ava Marie, was born to Jamie and Clarissa (Haasnoot) Farrell, New Prague, on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague. She weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces, and was 20 inches long. She joins one brother Ashton, 2 1/2.

Grandparents are Casey Jr. and Dorinda Haasnoot and Ron and Arlene Farrell. The baby's great-grandparents are Loraine Schesso, Casey Sr. and Sally Haasnoot and Marcy Rotty.

Elle Jean Zvanovec

A daughter, Elle Jean, was born to Kevin and Crystal (Plonsky) Zvanovec, Heidelberg, on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague. She weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces, and was 18 inches long. She joins one sister Nikole, 11.

Grandparents are Lawrence (Chappy) Plonsky of Heidelberg and Shirley Zvanovec of New Prague.

Angeline Elizabeth Kubes

A daughter, Angeline Elizabeth, was born to Jeff and Carrie (Sickler) Kubes, Veseli, on Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee. She weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 20 inches long. She joins one brother Jeffrey, 2.

Grandparents are Joseph and Emma Kubes of Veseli and Dennis and Betty Sickler of Farmington. The baby's great-grandparents are Angeline Ryman of Redfield, SD, and Albert Sickler and Dorothy Gaylen, both of Dickinson, ND.

Chloe Jo Wiita

A daughter, Chloe Jo, was born to Joseph and Carrie (Franek) Wiita, New Prague, on Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague. She joins one sister Alexa, 2 1/2.

Grandparents are Ronald and Susan Franek of Webster and Alan Wiita and Joyce Wiita, both of Savage. The baby's great-grandparents are Arnie and Bea Wiita of Savage.

Easton Lee Kennedy

A son, Easton Lee, was born to Jim and Dana (Schoenbauer) Kennedy, Morris, on Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris. He weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 20 inches long. Grandparents are Al and Natalie Schoenbauer of Elbow Lake and John and Susan Kennedy of British Columbia, Canada. The baby's great-grandparents are Lawrence and Mae Ann Schoenbauer of New Prague, Howard and Lou Legried of New York Mills and Jim and Joan Kennedy and Helen Nolin, all of Cranbrook, British Columbia.
