Claira Michelle Shimota

A daughter, Claira Michelle, was born to Chad and Shelly (Novak) Shimota, of Prior Lake, on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006, at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville. She weighed eight pounds, 10 ounces, and was 22 1/4 inches long. She was welcomed home by Emma, 3, and Derek, 1 1/2.

Grandparents are Bernie and Eileen Novak of Veseli and Al and Joyce Shimota of Prior Lake. Great-grandparents are Francis and Evelyn Novak and Bernice Tupy, all of New Prague, Wilbert and Caroline Shimota of Webster, and Don and Virginia Odette of Elko.

Henry Francis Novak

A son, Henry Francis, was born to Brad and Katie (Kratochvil) Novak, of New Prague, on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee. He weighed eight pounds, 12 ounces, and was 20 1/2 inches long. He was welcomed home by Ben, 6, and Sam, 4.

Grandparents are Bernie and Eileen Novak of Veseli and Jim and Anita Kratochvil of New Prague. Great-grandparents are Agnes Kratochvil, Bernice Tupy and Francis and Evelyn Novak, all of New Prague.

Katie Suzanne Kotek

A daughter, Katie Suzanne, was born to Darrel (Mick) Jr. and Cheryl (Trnka) Kotek, of New Market, on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006, at St. Francis Medical Center in Shakopee. She weighed eight pounds, 15 ounces, and was 21 1/4 inches long. She was welcomed home by Tyler, 14, and Samantha, 2.

Grandparents are Milton and Jean Trnka of Lonsdale and Darrel and Mary Kotek of Montgomery. Great-grandmother is Irene Vrzal of Montgomery.
