Board hears human services, other reports

The Le Sueur County Board worked through a relatively short agenda Tuesday, May 20, with major reports coming from the human services department and the county's insurance trust.

Sue Rynda, director of human services, presented her monthly report, giving power point comparisons of yearly and monthly activity in the department.

Rynda also gave the commissioners a legislative update, indicating possible staffing cutbacks at the state level and delays in grants which could be forthcoming.

Bob Goede, account executive with the Minnesota Counties Insurance Trust (MCIT), presented the 2008 member report to the commissioners. He said 2007 was another banner year for the trust, with $12.5 million in dividends and Le Sueur County sharing in the success to the tune of $124,110
