Board hires superintendent search consultant

The New Prague Area School Board has contracted with the South Central Services Cooperative to lead the search for a new superintendent for the district. Superintendent Larry Kauzlarich plans to leave the district at the conclusion of his contract on June 30.

The search will come at no cost to the district, other than expenses. The cooperative provides the service at no cost to member school districts. Retired superintendents Butch Hanson of Fairmont and Dale Brandsoy of Blue Earth, will provide the consulting services to the district. They presented an aggressive timeline to the board on Monday, Jan. 28, that would have a new superintendent hired by April.
