Book sale bonanza benefits Montgomery Library
Proceeds from a six-day book sale by the Montgomery Friends of the Library will go to benefit the summer reading program and other library events.
The annual sale started Saturday, April 1 and featured several different sales each day to entice book lovers to come and check out the sale’s offerings.
Megan Gregor and her daughters, Makenzie and Makayla, took advantage of the first day’s sales and book selections. Megan said they shop the sale every year. This year, the three Gregors each left with an arm full of books. Megan chose cookbooks, and the girls chose books from the “Goosebumps” series by R.L. Stine, and “My Best Frenemy” by Julie Bowe.
The sale ends today, Thursday, with a bag sale.
The Friends group had more than 10 volunteers operate and run the sale.
Books not sold will be stored away for next year’s sale. Anyone wanting to donate books for next year can leave them at the library.
