Boys hoops team seeded second

The WEM boys basketball team was seeded Monday No. 2 in South Sub-Section of Section 2AA. The Bucs (21-3 overall) are currently riding a 12-game winning streak after sweeping three games last week. They will play at St. Peter Tuesday and host Mankato Loyola to round out their regular season. The Bucs will host Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial (5-17) Tuesday, Feb. 23 at Waterville at 7 p.m. in the Sub-Section 1st round. Maple River (22-3) received all seven first place votes and is the No. 1 seed. NRHEG, Fairmont, Blue Earth Area, LCWM, and Medford round out the third through eighth seeds.
