Boys run at Chaska, Alexandria
New Prague’s boys cross country team was busy last week, competing in two big meets, the Victoria Lions Invitational in Chaska and the Alexandria Invitational.
New Prague has this week off and will return to competition with the Missota Invitational, which they will host at Cedar Lake Farm Regional Park on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
Victoria Invitational Stillwater was the top team at the Chaska Par 30 course, winning the meet with 76 points, with Eden Prairie second at 104. Other teams were Hutchinson (112), Chanhassen (182), Lakeville North (190), Robbinsdale Armstrong (192), Prior Lake (205), Minnetonka (218), Osseo (227), Chaska (231), Burnsville (236), St. Louis Park (247), Farmington (279), Lakeville South (319), Eagan (401), New Prague (441), Bloomington Kennedy (479), Richfield (489), Bloomington Jefferson (534), Waconia (573), Mankato West (576) and Dassel Cokato (614).
Isaiah Barlow of Hutchinson was medalist with a time of 15 minutes, 33.6 seconds.
Top Trojan finisher was Josh Dvorak, placing 64th in 17:29.3. Wyatt Midtvedt was right behind him, placing 66th in 17:30.6. Other Trojans were Dakota Greenwalt (81st, 17:52.5), Steven Kvam (109th, 18:18.8), Cole Minnick (121st, 18:37.5), and Justin Gregor (136th, 19:08.2).
New Prague was 20th of 24 in the JV race. Top Trojan was Tony Smith.
Alexandria Invitational New Prague traveled to Alexandria Saturday, Oct. 5, and finished 17th of 20 teams.
Stillwater won the meet with 68 points, followed by Mounds View (109), Bemidji (127), Moorhead (166), White Bear Lake (172), Chanhassen (172), Chaska(198), Buffalo (207), Red Wing (245), Marshall (247), Alexandria (277), Cretin- Derham Hall (307), Sartell- St. Stephen (342), St. Thomas Academy (359), St. Cloud Cathedral (416), Roseville (423), New Prague (427), St. Cloud Tech (441), Windom (581) and St. Cloud Apollo (587).
Sam Carlson of Bemidji won the meet with a time of 16:14.7. Dvorak was the top Trojan runner, finishing 53rd in 18:02.5. Other Trojans were Greenwalt (72nd), 18:19.3), Midtvedt (86th, 18:35.0), Gregor (107th, 19:16.6), Minnick (109th, 19:22.7), Kvam (113th, 19:34.6) and Tony Smith (115th, 19:43.5).
New Prague’s JV team finished 14th of 16 teams. Jack Siegle was the top Trojan finisher
