Bucs advance to Sub-Section Championship

The WEM volleyball team has advanced to the Section 2A South Sub-Section Championship Tuesday, Nov. 1 with a four game win over Mankato Loyola. Scores were 25-13, 25-11, 21-25, 25-12. WEM, 29-4 overall, will face Springfield Thursday, Nov. 3 for the Sub-Section title at Mankato East High School at approximately 7:30 p.m. Springfield, the No. 3 seed, upset No. 2 seed St. Clair Tuesday. The Tigers are 21-8 overall. Mayer Lutheran and Cedar Mountain-Comfrey will play at 6 p.m. Thursday at Mankato East for the North Sub-Section Championship. The Section 2A Championship game will be played Saturday, Nov. 5 at Gustavus Adolphus. WEM is the defending South Sub-Section Champions and Mayer Lutheran is the defending North Sub-Section Champions.
