Bucs win third straight conference title

The WEM baseball team clinched its third straight Gopher Conference Championship Thursday, downing United South Central, 6-2, behind a one-hitter by Buccaneer ace Dallas McBroom. WEM has only one loss in the conference with one game to play, a Monday, May 22 make-up game with USC. Playoffs start Friday, May 26 for the Bucs, with a home game scheduled against an opponent to be named Tuesday. For more on the conference title, check out the May 25 edition of the LIFE/Enterprise.
