Bullseye! Archery tournament draws a crowd

The New Prague Archery Club held its first-ever tournament Saturday, Feb. 27. About 350 competitors from around the metro area took part in the competition, which took place in both gyms at the high school.

The club's adviser is Karla Schultz, and she received support from the club's sponsor, the Sand Creek Greybeards chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, and other sportsmen's groups in the area in hosting the tourney.

Two New Prague shooters placed in the top five. They were Jacob Love, second in youth with a 256, and Austin Linder, second in high school with a 287. Other top NP shooters were Justin Cameron, Lillian Schulte, Stephanie Medina, Tom Frawley and Jennifer Natole.
