Catholic School enrollments varied in area

Enrollment at two area Catholic schools fluctuated, with a drop in enrollment at St. Wenceslaus School in New Prague and a slight increase at Holy Cross School in Webster.

St. Wenceslaus saw a drop of 27 students, or 7.9 percent from the previous year.

Most of that reduction comes in kindergarten, which saw only 20 students enroll this year, the lowest since the school added kindergarten in the 1991-92 school year. Last year the school had 43 kindergarten students.

The school has added a pre-school program, which has two classes and a total of 28 students.
