Celebrating a hero's home

SPC Jack Zimmerman, and his wife, Megan, received a commemorative key to their rural Elysian home during a Home Presentation Ceremony, Monday, July 25. The ceremony was organized by the Helping a Hero organization, the same organization that made the Zimmermans' specially adapted home possible. Helping a Hero partners with wounded heroes, like Zimmerman, who was injured while serving in Afghanistan in 2011, to provide homes that fit their needs. Senator Ted Cruz attended and spoke at the ceremony.
