Chamber hears about 'The Power of Believing'

Approximately 100 members were on hand at the Lakeside Supper Club Monday for the annual meeting of the New Prague Chamber of Commerce.
Outgoing chamber president Pat Goggins welcomed members to the meeting, talking about gains the organization has made in both membership and participation during the past year. He also pointed to a financially successful Dozinky celebration and other events during the course of the year.
Kristy Mach, who completed her first year as the chamber's executive director, offered thanks to Goggins and the board members for their help. She also thanked staff members Kelly Connelly, Julie Bisek and Judy Deutsch.
Mach said the year was a learning experience, going from one project to another, starting with the Czech Expo and Half-Marathon, then moving on to the Dozinky Festival and working with the Czech Heritage Society for the addition of the Czech Village to Dozinky.
