Christian T. Handrich, 31

Christian T. Handrich, 31, of Maple Grove, died on March 1, 2005, at Maple Grove.

He was born in New Prague on April 30, 1973, to Thomas and Elain (Sobolik) Handrich. Christian attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School, New Prague Elementary School and New Prague High School. His junior and senior years of high school were spent at Shakopee High School. He attended Normandale Junior College and various professional driving schools. Christian was employed as an over-the-road trucker for Excel Logistics of Plymouth. He was nationally rated in sport shooting and was a proficient marksman. Outdoor activities was something he enjoyed. Christian was also in the Army Reserves

He is survived by his mother, Elain Tiedt (fiance, Thomas Koehler), Lakeville, father, Thomas (Alice) Handrich, Shakopee; two sisters, Theresa Handrich (fiance, Greg Spicka) Littleton, CO, Elizabeth (Steve) Thorp, Harris; two stepsisters, Jennifer (Christian) Kaseman, Austin, TX, Jessica Johnson, Hopkins; nephew, Augustus Thorp, Harris; niece and goddaughter, Elise Thorp, Harris; grandparents, Rolland and Marian Handrich, Manawa, WI; two stepgrandmothers, Loretta Tiedt, New Prague, Lucille Kronebusch, Rochester.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Handrich, William and Adeline Sobolik; stepfather, Lowell Tiedt; stepgrandfather, Walter Tiedt.

Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague. Sister Ginny Heldorfer, pastoral minister, officiated.

Visitation was held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague.
