Christmas memorial service for loved ones is December 11
Honor a loved one who has passed away by attending a Christmas memorial service held in the Jameen Mape Conference Center at Queen of Peace Hospital at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11.
This event is offered to those suffering the loss of a loved one and wishing to celebrate their memory - and the holiday season - in a special way.
Christmas carols will be led by music therapist, Rebecca Soderberg, and chaplain Mary Jean Horstmann will lead the group in prayer and present a reflective talk. Refreshments will be served following the service and participants are invited to stay for fellowship.
This event is open to the public, however, RSVPs are requested by calling the Queen of Peace spiritual care department at 952-758-4431, Ext. 5269.
Queen of Peace Hospital facilitates a support group, Growing Through Grief, for individuals who have experienced the loss of someone close. The meetings address common questions about dealing with grief and offers peer support from others who are on the same journey. This support group meets at the hospital on the second Thursday of every month.
