City Council will hold special meeting on budget

The New Prague City Council will to hold a special meeting next week to discuss the city's 2009 budget.

New Prague City Administrator Mike Johnson noted that he and city staff are still currently working on the budget. He explained that the meeting that was planned for Monday, Sept. 8, may have to be moved to Wednesday, Sept. 10, since there is still some fine tuning to be done for next year's budget. The council must set its preliminary levy by September 15.

The council agreed to tentatively set the meeting for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10.
