City to reorganize departments

The New Prague City Council has authorized a reorganization of its public works and utilities departments. The action came at the council’s Monday, April 1, meeting.

As part of the change, Electric Operations Supervisor Bruce Reimers and Maintenance Supervisor Glen Sticha will take manager positions. Reimers will oversee the city’s utilities and Sticha will take care of the public works. Among the changes is that there will have to be the addition of staff due to future retirements and the creation of foreman positions. One item not changing is that there will still be the sharing of staff between the two departments
