Class of 2000 wins alumni volleyball tournament

The New Prague High School Class of 2000 won the fifth annual Alumni Women’s Volleyball Tournament held on Saturday, Sept. 17, in connection with the Dozinky Festival.

The newcomer team defeated the Class of 1988 to claim first place in the tournament. The winning team was made up of Katie Bisek, Megan Giesen, Shar Herron, Jodie Olson, Liz Rezac, Megan Seurer and Jackie Studnicka.

The runner up team included Kim Jirik, Karen Kubes, Lori Pistulka, Cindy Ramler, Barb Skluzacek and Heather Tietz.

A total of seven teams participated in the double elimination tourney, which included the classes of 1982, 1986, 1997, 2004 (which placed third) and 2005.
