New Prague Area Schools closed

There will be no classes at New Prague Area Schools Wednesday, Dec. 9, due to the weather.

A snowstorm and high winds left more than six inches of snow overnight, with drifting on the roads and visibility remaining a problem.

Classes are scheduled to resume on Thursday, Dec. 10. Updates will be posted on this website.

CapX hearings in New Prague cancelled

The public hearings for the CapX 2020 power line project scheduled for New Prague today (Wednesday, Dec. 9) have been cancelled. There is no word on whether the New Prague hearings will be rescheduled.

The public hearings planned for Lakeville are still scheduled for Thursday and Friday, Dec. 10 and 11. Meetings are Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m.; Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
