Coborn’s cookout serves over 1,000 dinners
The Guest Appreciation Cookout at Coborn’s Superstore in New Prague was busy on Wednesday, Aug. 17. Held in the parking lot of the supermarket from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., an estimated 1,200 dinners were served. People could sit down or get a meal to go, which included a pull up service for vehicles. Customers could choose from a rib dinner or hot dog and chips. There was also ice cream sandwiches or ice cream scooped into a bowl with chocolate or strawberry syrup or both. (Patrick Fisher Photo)
