Come Czech us out!

Thursday, Aug. 3, is the second annual “Czech Out New Prague” event, sponsored by the New Prague Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber bills the event as an event “showcasing” what New Prague has to offer for residents and surrounding communities. It will feature “various exhibitors, great local eateries, a junior fire fighter challenge presented by the New Prague Fire Department, dance performances, entertainment, and more.”

Last year’s event was a big success, with a good-size crowd and plenty of businesses and organizations on hand to show off what they have to offer. More than 20 businesses and organizations have signed up for this year’s event. Residents should stop by, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Memorial Park, to “Czech Out” the many things New Prague has to offer.

And what better place to hold an event than Memorial Park, the city’s oldest park and largest park that has served as a gathering place for generations. The park has hosted many community celebrations over the years, including picnics, concerts, Memorial Day ceremonies, Christmas celebrations, reunions and more. This crown jewel of New Prague parks is the perfect place to showcase what the community has to offer.
