The Le Sueur County Board adopted a resolution at the Tuesday, Sept. 28, meeting, requesting a presidential declaration of a major disaster area because of the heavy rain event occurring in the county September 22-23.

County Administrator/Engineer Darrell Pettis, who presented the resolution in the absence of Emergency Management Director Ann Traxler, said Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty has already declared the county a disaster area.
