The New Prague City Council unanimously approved appointments to two different groups during its Monday meeting.
Residents Tom Mach, Paul Flick and Dan Valek were appointed as members of the city's golf cart ordinance committee and J.C. Ingebrand was appointed to the New Prague Park Board out of four applicants.
The golf cart committee is charged with developing an ordinance to address golf carts on public streets. Discussion on the ordinance began at the council's June 1 meeting. Council members Ken Betterton and Kristin Guerrette had earlier been named to the committee, and at its June 23 meeting the Golf Club Board appointed members Jeff King and Kevin Berglund. Also serving on the committee will be New Prague Police Chief Mark Vosejpka and Golf Club Manager Ken Norland.

The council also approved two liquor licenses. One license was for Schumacher's Hotel and Grill at 212 West Main St., the other was to the New Prague Chamber of Commerce for the New Prague Firemen's 125th anniversary celebration.
A public hearing was held for Schumacher's with no public comment. The license is for an on-sale, off-sale and Sunday liquor license.
The Chamber will receive a one-day temporary on-sale license for the August 15 celebration. The license will cover both Foundry Hill Park and the Emergency Services Center at 600 Fourth Ave. NW.
