After interviewing seven applicants, it all came down to the regular meeting of the Lonsdale City Council Thursday, Sept. 25, when the council decided who would finish out Fritz Duban's term.

Duban announced his resignation from the council in August, stating it was time for younger residents to step up and serve.

Mayor Tim Rud said all candidates were highly regarded and that choosing one was going to be extremely difficult.
