Council approves new commissioners
The New Prague City Council appointed two new commissioners to fill vacant seats on the city's Planning and Zoning Commission and the Economic Development Authority (EDA).
Pete Sletten was named to the EDA and Ryan Peltier will join the planning commission. The two were among candidates who had applied for the boards and the commissions earlier this year. If either Peltier or Sleten turn down the appointment, the council will ask for new applicants.
Sletten will fill the remainder of the six-year term left by DeAnn Puente, which expires in 2010. Peltier will take over for Tony DeLuca from the Planning and Zoning Commission. DeLuca had been appointed the beginning of this year to a four-year term. Both Puente and DeLuca recently resigned their posts.
