Council considers Sunday liquor change
The New Prague City Council began the process to amend the city’s Sunday liquor law by a 4-1 vote at its Monday, April 15, meeting. Council member Dave Bruzek cast the only vote against the move, which would change the start time for liquor sales to 10 a.m. on Sundays
Mayor Chuck Nickolay led the discussion for the change in hours, which are currently from noon to 1 a.m. He believed it would be advantageous and beneficial to businesses that serve food and liquor.
The council will introduce the amendment process at its Monday, May 6, meeting. Read more in the Thursday, April 18, edition of The Times.
