Council holds Truth in Taxation hearing

The New Prague City Council held its Truth in Taxation hearing on Monday with 10 people attending the annual meeting.

The Truth in Taxation law requires most city and county governments and school districts to hold a hearing before approving their annual property tax levy. During the hearing there must be a presentation of the current year's budget and public discussion.

New Prague City Administrator Mike Johnson made a presentation of how the property taxes are determined.
