During a Monday, March 17, workshop, the New Prague City Council discussed trimming the cost of the city's new wastewater treatment plant. As proposed, approximately $2.3 million is to be cut, which brings the current estimate of the project down to $27 million.

Members of the engineering design team of Bolton & Menk, city staff and personnel from Rice Lake Construction met earlier, reviewing areas where cuts could be made. Eighty-two items were identified and then reduced to a list of 13.
