County roads 2 and 28 reopen

Rice County State Aid Highway 2 (70th Street W.) and Le Sueur County State Aid Highway 28, between Highway 19 and Highway 13/21 reopened for the winter months starting December 23. The highways will remain open until mid-April 2005.

Rice and Le Sueur County officials advise drivers that segments of the driving surface will remain gravel for the winter months, so please drive with care.

In mid-April the roadway will again be closed to through traffic and the detours will be reposted.
