Curtain Call Theatre presents Agatha Christie mystery

Curtain Call Theatre will present Agatha Christie's Ten Little Indians (also known as And Then There Were None) at New Prague Middle School on October 19, 20, 26 and 27 at 7:30 p.m.

As the play opens, a cluster of statuettes - ten little Indians - sits on the mantlepiece of a weird country house on an island off the coast of Devon, England. A nursery rhyme embossed above them tells how each little Indian met his death, until there were none.

Into this queer Byzantine mortuary come eight assorted guests, each invited for the weekend by a mysterious host. The guests have never met one another or their host who is also a mystery to the housekeeper, the butler and the boatman. As the guests settle in, all ten are accused of murder by the voice of their unknown and unseen host. Shortly thereafter people start dying, just like in the nursery rhyme.

Who will be left at the end? Will it be the nerve specialist, Dr. Armstrong, (Carissa Ott of New Prague), accused of murder by operating while drunk? Or will it be the judge, Sir Lawrence Wargrave, (Calvin Schultz of Jordan), accused of sentencing an innocent man to die. Or perhaps General Mackenzie, (Rob Babione of New Prague), who sent his wife's lover on a fatal mission.

Rounding out the cast for this murder mystery are Cole VanHorn of Montgomery as Rogers, the butler; Jessica Brox of Jordan as Mrs. Rogers, the housekeeper; Carissa Ott of New Prague as boatman, Fran Narracott; Eric Northrup of Le Sueur as young and carefree Anthony Marston; Laura Velishek of Faribault as Mrs. Owen's secretary, Vera Claythorne; Andy Velishek of Faribault as adventurer Phillip Lombard; Mike Daleiden of Lonsdale as Officer William Blore and Karen Steinhoff of New Prague as prissy Miss Emily Brent.
