D-R-S All-Stars to face Cannon Valley All-Stars

It's a chance to see some of the best area amateur baseball players from two leagues all in one game and a home run hitting contest preceding it!

On Friday night, July 8, at the Elko baseball park, the Dakota-Rice-Scott League All-Stars take on the Cannon Valley League All-Stars.

This will be the third meeting between the two leagues, with the CVL team winning the first two games and the DRS team hoping to win this year.

A home run hitting contest will be held at 7 p.m., with the game starting at 8 p.m.

Terry Fredrickson of Elko, Darrell Vosejpka of Lonsdale and Sean O’Neill of Union Hill will be the D-R-S team coaches.

The roster for the D-R-S team is as follows: Elko - Josh Thom, Tony Gabriel and Brian Muell; Lonsdale - Brian Vosejpka, Tom Popp and Mike Kalina; Union Hill - Dan Smith, Jeff Bruder and Adam Wiener; St. Benedict - Steve Weiers, Jake Lucas and Dan Erickson; New Market - D.J. Damberger and Jeremy Wieland; Montgomery - Robert Weaver, Nick Worm and Chris Ziskovsky; St. Patrick - Bill Dunker, Wade Schuknecht and Matt Pexa; Shakopee - Adam Hoffman and Noah Hoffman; Prior Lake - Dusty Olynyk; Webster - Matt Glass; Veseli - Luke Giesen; and New Prague - Angel Cortez.

The Cannon Valley league list includes: Hastings - Jake Swartout, Taylor VanderAarde and Charlie Brookins; Hampton - Pat Pohl, Joe Anthonson and Duane Slinde; Northfield - Troy Deden, Eric Anderson and Will Hupenbecker; Bay City, WI - Forest Schneider, Eric Lange and Gregg Ulvears; Cannon Falls - Keith Meyers, Taylor Pagel and Peter Erickson; Miesville - Ron Foote, Dave Johnson and Brian Meyers; Randolph - Cory Lorenzen, Jaden Lorenzen and Mitch Banks; Dundas - Steve Loos, Rich Dolan and Luke Teste; and Red Wing - Andy Gibbart.
