D-R-S baseball league playoffs start next week

The Dakota-Rice-Scott baseball playoffs will start next week and continue through Sunday, July 29.

Pairings will be finalized after next Sunday's final league games are completed.

Fans are asked to check with managers or players on the teams they are following.

Red Division - Four team playoff with two best-of-three series.

Dates are Tuesday, July 24, Wednesday, July 25, Friday, July 27 and Sunday, July 29, if needed.

The two winners will advance to Region 3C play (6 team, double elimination) which starts Wednesday, Aug. 1. Other league teams will be from the Cannon Valley Classic League and the D-R-S Blue Division (two teams from each).

White Division - Four team playoff, double elimination, five games.

Tuesday, July 24 - St. Patrick vs. New Prague at Elko, 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, July 25 - Prior Lake at Elko, 7:30 p.m.

Friday, July 27 - Winner vs. winner of first two games; loser vs. loser of first two games. Sites and teams to be determined.

Sunday, July 29, 2 p.m. - One game, site and teams to be determined.

The two winners will advance to Region 6C play, which starts Wednesday, Aug. 1. Other Region 6C teams will be from the Carver Central Red Division and the Carver Central White Division (two from each).

Blue Division - Four team playoff with two best-of-three series.

Dates are Tuesday, July 24, Wednesday, July 25, Friday, July 27 and Sunday, July 29, if needed.

The two winners will advance to Region 3C play (6 team, double elimination), which starts on Wednesday, Aug. 1. Other league teams will be from the Cannon Valley Classic League and the D-R-S Red Division (two teams from each).

In case of rainouts, the game(s) would be rescheduled for the next day.
