D-R-S holds winter meeting

The Dakota-Rice-Scott Baseball League held its annual winter meeting at Brewster's in Veseli on Thursday evening, Dec. 29.

League president Jerry Walerius chaired the meeting.

Representatives of radio station KCHK and KRDS were on hand and a led a discussion of broadcasting of D-R-S league ball games.

A new state tournament format for the Class C tournament is in the making with more team representation from leagues which draw better attendance. This would create more teams in the tourney with some opening round byes.
